The Hawaiians call the island of Kauai “The Garden Isle.” On this most northern of the Hawaiian Islands, travelers can indulge in incredible topography, including cliffs, valleys and mountains. The scenery includes Waimea Canyon, a 10-mile-long canyon that is 1 mile wide and cuts through the island. If you don’t have time to spend a few days on the island, a helicopter tour is a great way to see the entire island.
